~April 23, 2012- Fun at the Aquarium~

~April 16, 2012- The Lord Blesses Us In Mysterious Ways~

Transfers came in this week, and Elder Garcia and Oliverson are still together. This is the longest companionship he has been in thus far--which is 4 months! They just moved to a different apartment on the 5th floor. The old one was on the 3rd and was really old, so President Albright decided it would be best to move them. They have an even better view of the Potomac River and the Washington Memorial from their balcony! 

Elder Garcia mentioned that last week they got their bikes stolen! His bike was ghetto, as he says, but Elder Oliverson was very upset because his bike was very expensive--but of course the Lord blesses us in mysterious ways and now they are driving a 2010 Toyota Corolla! They are super excited about that.

~April 9, 2012- Hard Work Pays Off!~

During apartment inspections--Sister Vaitai and Patten who are in Elder Garcia's Zone had told President and Sister Albright that some members had given them ticket to a game at the Verizon Center- The Wizard and the Bucks. As President and Sister Albright did inspections and visited the apartment of Elder Garcia, Oliverson Hanna, and Merrill- They were so impressed with how well they cleaned because they live in the oldest, most worn, apartment in the mission, and they had given 150% to clean it. They scrubbed walls and carpets, and window runner, etc. So President invited them to go to the game!

~March 19, 2012- Spanish Missionary Fun!~

President and Sister Albright had all the Spanish speaking missionaries come over to the mission home for a P-day activity and barbecue. From the pictures, it looks like they had a blast! All the missionaries love to get together and visit because they are spread all over the mission and don't see each other a lot.

~March 12, 2012-Highest Baptizing Zone!~

Elder Garcia is doing great and is loving is new responsibility as a District Leader. He is learning so much! They have been working with a man who is about 67 years old, whose son is a less active member. The man has been an investigator for about 25 years, and was baptized on Saturday! They are super excited for him. The ward Elder Garcia is in has a total of 8 missionaries! The other companionship's also had investigators baptized. There were 3 in total for the ward! Elder Garcia says that they are the highest baptizing zone in the mission!
