~August 27, 2012- Enjoying The Work~

As AP, Elder Garcia still does everything a missionary does. He has an area, a ward to cover, investigators and aside from that he has to schedule meetings and Spanish forums with the Spanish leaders and missionaries, He also go on exchanges and see how they are doing. He is really enjoying it!
Elder Garcia and Elder Creager got a new car! Its a Toyota Cruze. They also live in a gorgeous luxury apartment, which he is not used to since his last area wasn't the nicest.
They have found a few investigators that have not followed through so they are excited to go out and keep finding people to teach! They have started to work with their ward more, and visiting more members as well.

~August 20, 2012- Spanish Travelling AP!~

Elder Garcia is very busy! He has finally been transferred after being in the same area for just over a year! President was telling Elder Garcia how he didn't want him to get too comfortable in a place because that can be really hard on a missionary.
Something Elder Garcia has learned is being uncomfortable isn't always a bad thing. It has kept them humble to look for and trust in the help of the Lord. Elder Garcia says that the Lord made him get really uncomfortable with a new zone, new companion, and a new assignment! He's been called as the Spanish Travelling AP for the southern part of his mission. When he first got the call he felt a little oblivious. He went up to the mission president and ask him, "President, what is it that you would like me to do?" and he just said, "just check up on all the missionaries that you are in charge of, and if something is wrong, YOU fix it and just bless everyone and everywhere you go." As uncomfortable as Elder Garcia may be at times, this calling is helping him trust in God more and more!
So far everything is going great in his new zone. He gets along so well with his new companion, Elder Creager, and works really well with him. They already have someone with a baptismal date!! The ward is really excited about that because they haven't seen a baptism in months!

~June 22, 2012- Farewell~

Today the mission presented President and Sister Albright with the most incredible picture ever.  It was a picture of the DC temple made out of 4200 small pictures of their missionaries and of baptisms the last 3 years.  At the end of the conference, they had a receiving line and every missionary came up and gave
them hugs and handshakes and they got to say their good-byes.
